Atlas was a Chicago, IL brewery that begun in 1896, very popular throughout the region,
but closed down after the Prohibition.  A new craft brew pub, building on the tradition of Chicago's neighborhood breweries has emerged and brought back the Atlas name.
At the turn of the 19th Century, during America's Industrial Revolution, Railroads refurbished many of their well-built older wood-side cars for more modern use by employing steel underframes, Bettendorf trucks, and new brake systems.
