These 40' standard box cars with single Youngstown doors and roofwalk are painted brown with the orange, black and white CGW "Lucky Strike" logo. The cars are lettered in yellow with a large letter "C" stenciled on the right hand side indicating compartmentizer equipment. These cars were built by Pullman-Standard in July 1951 and serviced in September 1955. They run on black Bettendorf trucks. Only 15 cars from this series were equipped with compartmentizers.

These 40’ box cars with single Youngstown door, short ladders and no roof walk are painted MP brown with white lettering and large white ‘buzzsaw’ logos. They run on brown Bettendorf trucks. Built in August of 1950, these are two of 27 cars originally built by Pullman-Standard, Michigan City, for the NYC. Serviced and repainted at Palestine, TX, in April of 1967, this small series lasted into the early 1980s.

These 40' standard box cars with single doors are painted blue and yellow with white band. The logos are red and lettering is in black and white. They were built in 1925 by General American, serviced in October 1951, and run on Bettendorf trucks. Seven hundred boxcars were taken at random from three sets of car series, among which is the series 46000-46999. In 1951 and 1952 they were rebuilt by Missouri Pacific Railroad shops at De Soto, TX, and converted into Eagle Merchandise Service.

These 40’ standard box cars with Youngstown doors are painted Wabash Blue and display the yellow Wabash “Follow the Flag” herald and yellow lettering. They run on black Bettendorf trucks. The four cars built in 1944 belong to a small series, 750-753, and were owned by NJI&I and leased to the Wabash.

This 40’ standard box car with double sliding doors is painted brown with white Santa Fe circle/cross and white lettering. It was built in June 1945 by Pullman-Standard, serviced in June 1978, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Five hundred new Fe-26 class auto cars, series 64200-64699, from Pullman-Standard were the last 40’ double door cars purchased by the Santa Fe; automobiles grew rapidly in size after World War II and the Santa Fe began employing 50’ cars in automobile service. The entire Fe-26 class continued in auto rack service until the 1950s when renumbering and reassignment began. Two hundred ninety-nine cars from the series were shifted to general purpose lading and renumbered 50001-50309. The number of Fe-26s in revenue service declined in the 1970s, all were retired by 1985.
