This 39’ single dome tank car is black with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1957, this uninsulated tank car was owned by NATX and leased to the Hubinger Company of Keokuk, Iowa, and was used for corn syrup loading. The J.C. Hubinger Brothers Company was founded in 1887 and was a producer of starch.

This 39’ single dome tank car is grey with black lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Owned by General American Transportation Corp. and leased to Flo-Sweet Refined Syrups and Sugars Inc. Flo-Sweet, based in Yonkers, NY, was the first domestic producer of liquid sugar, with first production in 1927. Previously, liquid sugars were imported from Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

This 39’ single dome tank car is black with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Lettered for the Miranda Sugar Company, this insulated and heated tank car was built in 1919 for the Warner Sugar Refining Company, of Edgewater, N.J. In 1927, Warner was purchased by the National Sugar Refining Company, becoming the largest producer of refined sugar in the United States at the time.

This 39’ single dome tank car is grey with red and yellow herald and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1960, this DOT103W class tank car was owned by General American Transportation Corporation and leased to Domino Foods, Inc. for use in liquid cane sugar processing. Founded in 1901 in New York, Domino Foods quickly became a renowned brand in the United States. Today, Domino Foods is the largest sugar company in the USA, with three large sugar refineries on the East Coast.
