Built in 1957, this uninsulated tank car was owned by NATX and leased to the Hubinger Company of Keokuk, Iowa, and was used for corn syrup loading. The J.C. Hubinger Brothers Company was founded in 1887 and was a producer of starch.

This 39’ single dome tank car is grey with black lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Owned by General American Transportation Corp. and leased to Flo-Sweet Refined Syrups and Sugars Inc. Flo-Sweet, based in Yonkers, NY, was the first domestic producer of liquid sugar, with first production in 1927. Previously, liquid sugars were imported from Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
