ACF Covered 51' Cylindrical Hoppers
Spic and Span
Betriebsnummern: SHPX 3231, 3235
After WWII, American Car and Foundry (ACF) designed a tank-type "Center Flow" covered hopper car to carry "modern" products. Here was a "Freight Car for the Future," ready to transport sugar, cement, sand, salt, fertilizers, many types of grains, coke, starch, feeds, chemicals and plastics!
Full Throttle offers another Cylindrical Hopper in homage to the old TYCO "brown box" series of HO models which brought fun into our hobby and have become super-collectible! This month June '22 we're offering a Spic 'n Span car. Who in this USA hasn't heard of Spic 'n Span, a household cleaner popular during the early days of ACF's innovative new railcar? Still a favorite today, Spic 'n Span can now ride the Z Scale rails!
